Director

Simon is an architect with over 20 years’ experience. He has worked across a range of sectors to deliver projects from inception through to completion. Before joining Cornish Architects in 2015, Simon completed several mixed-use schemes which included Grade II listed buildings, buildings of archaeological interest, high street retail developments and leisure. This included the delivery of a training facility for the London 2012 Olympics. International experience includes the design and build of properties in Goa, India.

With Cornish Architects, Simon has been project architect/contract administrator for mixed-use, higher education and commercial schemes. Simon became an equity director in January 2023 and now manages and directs the Practice, together with Rebecca Phythian. He is a passionate designer and has a keen eye for detail. He especially enjoys working with the design team to develop ideas to bring them to reality.

In his spare time, Simon teaches salsa in the UK and abroad. Look out for him on the big and small screen – you may spot him in Cuban Fury or more recently Strictly Come Dancing!
